Hey friends! This is my little digital project I plan to work on- I have no idea where this'll end up, or if this is even something I'll see through, but here I am anyways :)
Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be able to code... not because it was something I was particularly interested in, but more so because I thought it'd make me seem cool (like most kids realistically!). My first proper introduction to coding however, must have been around 2020. My local library receieved some micro bit kits to lend out, so I was grateful I was able to borrow one right before the first lockdown! I followed a variety of the website's tutorials to learn the basics and quickly became very invested. One of the main projects I remember programming was a silly little birthday song and message for my brother's 13th. I connected the LED board and mini speaker to my chromebook, and played the incredibly janky song (I could not work out the notes for the life of me), whilst the birthday message moved across the board- kinda like how you see upcoming stations in a train. I was pretty proud of it at the time!
Over the years I had a few more experiences with coding: my year 7&8 computing lessons; a temporary coding club; and a design and technology project on robotics... although most of it realistically was pretty basic stuff.
